Betty Gallo started Betty Gallo & Co., the lobbying and government relations firm, to provide non-profits with access to effective advocacy in the Connecticut General Assembly. Many non-profits, because of financial constraints, were unable to hire experienced lobbyists. When those lobbyists started to really understand the legislative process and build the contacts that are so important for successful legislative and administrative advocacy they were forced to move to better paying jobs. Betty Gallo & Co. provides non-profits, health care professions, unions and civil rights advocacy groups with a voice in the CT General Assembly that is extremely knowledgeable, backed by years of experience and good relationships with leaders in both parties and at all areas of the Connecticut Government. Betty Gallo & Co. also helps to build and foster strong grassroots advocacy networks for clients ensuring that decision makers hear from constituents who care about the clients’ issues.
